A lay person or first aider performing effective CPR can improve the chances of patient survival by up to 20%. This combined with the use of an External Automated Defibrillator (AED) can increase the survival rate by over 60%.

Who can come and where’s it held?

Ideal for those who wish to further their first aid training and learn CPR and how to operate an AED. Ideal for communities, hotels, dentists, NHS staff, schools, sports centres, shopping outlets or anywhere where an AED is present.

This course is suitable for anyone, no previous first aid experience is required.

The course is run over 3 hours for up to 12 people in your own venue or centre. We can also provide a venue in Brighton and Hove, Worthing, Littlehampton, Wimbledon, Ruislip, Guildford and Aylesbury.

What do I get?

You’ll receive full training by an experienced practitioner as well as a certificate of attendance (current for 12 months) upon being able to competently demonstrate CPR and used of a AED.

What's covered within the course?

On the course we cover basic life saving skills and the operation of an automated external defibrillator. Our aim to for people to feel confident and competent in using basic life support skills and use of an AED.

Our AED and CPR training includes both theory and plenty of practical work, using an AED training unit and training manikins.

  • Managing an incident safely
  • The non-responsive casualty
  • Resuscitation techniques (CPR)
  • Recovery position
  • Use of an AEDs - Theory/Practice
