A lot of our interviews with students are with those that have completed their courses. Here we meet Charlotte who is currently studying our combined infant massage and baby yoga instructor course. Here we find out about Charlotte and how her course is going...
Name: Charlotte Armstrong-Ring
Lives: Instow, North Devon
What do you teach? Training to be a baby massage and yoga instructor.
How long have you been an instructor? Half way through my baby yoga instructor course.
What made you want to become an instructor? I saw the To Baby and Beyond advert to become a instructor in a baby massage and yoga classes. I have been interested in holistic therapy for a long time now and I wanted something that would fit in around my family.
Have you always been an instructor? No, I was a pharmacy checking technician.
Why did you chose To Baby and Beyond for your training? I attended one of your classes at Butlins and thoroughly loved it.
What did you like best about the training with To Baby and Beyond? The flexibility and laid back feel I have experienced. It feels like a little community, being part of the Facebook page and being able to join the webinars.
What’s your favourite part of your job? Meeting new people
How do you keep your skills up to date? I read and learn from other people's experiences and ideas.
What qualities do you think are important in a baby massage/yoga instructor? Keeping up with fresh ideas and staying motivated
What benefits do you derive from yoga/massage? Keeping in touch with people. Helping mums and their babies.
Have you learnt anything surprising about massage/yoga? Feeling I can achieve running my own baby massage and yoga business.
What’s your top tip for learning to teach massage/yoga? Be organised, do your research.
