Having consistent routines really help to create calm in a busy world.
Create your own pre-nap routine.
This may look slightly different to your bedtime routine but can still follow a calming pattern. Maybe it will be taking your baby up to their room, closing blinds or curtains, putting on a sleep suit or getting into in a sleep bag, reading a story and having a cuddle (cuddles should be a feature of any routine!).
Use a sleep phrase each time such as ‘Bedtime time now. Go to sleep’.
Stick to your chosen routine, repeat it every time nap or sleep is due and it will help to maintain serenity for both you and baby.
Need a little more support with baby's sleep? We're here to help. I'm honestly so pleased we decided to go ahead with using Julie as it took the stress out of sleep for us and has given me some lovely time to spend with my daughter.
